whitney Whitney Houston Sued By Stepmother

The stereotypical stepmother gets a bad rap for mistreating her stepchildren but in the case of Whitney Houston it’s the opposite. Whitney’s stepmother has filed suit against the singer, claiming the songbird did not abide by the wishes of Whitney’s deceased father.

The Associated Press reports that, according to court records, Barbara Houston claims the 45-year-old singer improperly kept the proceeds from John Houston’s $1 million insurance policy after he died in 2003.
