Un(Authorized) Bio On Bobby Brown Out Today
Nine months after controversial quotes were leaked to the media, the much-anticipated book, Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth and Nothing But…, is out today. It was supposed to be an autobiography but turned into a bio after the singer stopped working with the author, who wonders if ex-wife Whitney Houston was behind Bobby’s decision to back away from the project.
Bobby said things like “I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney” and “I think we got married for all the wrong reasons. Now, I realize Whitney had a different agenda than I did when we got married … I believe her agenda was to clean up her image.” After the inflammatory quotes made headlines back in April, he got “cold feet,” the author Derrick Handspike writes in the foreword as he explains his decision to move forward on the book without Bobby. Derrick writes that the two only had a handshake agreement at that point because they were close friends and afterward Bobby stalled when it came to signing the final agreement.
