The Oh-So-Generous Will Smith
On the same day Will Smith showed up on the set of “Good Morning America” with a pile of coats for the underprivileged, the charitable donations of the Will Smith Foundation made news as well. FoxNews.com revealed that just released 2007 tax records show that $122,500 of the $1.3 million the foundation donated went to the Church of Scientology.
It’s well known that Will and wife Jada are good friends with Church of Scientologist member Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes. But the “Men in Black” star has denied being a Scientologist. FoxNews.com breaks down the $122,500 donation like this: $67,500 to the New York Rescue Workers Detoxication Fund, $50,000 to the group’s Celebrity Center in Hollywood and $5,000 to ABLE, another Scientology offshoot.
