Miguel has spent the year putting out powerful hits, but on Sunday night (May 19) the Kaleidoscope Dream singer may have delivered his biggest one yet at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.

The spirited performer took the stage at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to rock his 2012 fan-favorite "Adorn," with his usual rockstar flair, but at the tail-end of the song a mistimed jumped turned into what looked like a painful accident when Miguel landed on top of two fans.

Just as the tune was winding down, Miguel launched over a pit of fans hoping to clear the crowd and land cleanly on the other side of the stage. Instead he caught a young lady with his right leg, smashing her head into the stage and kicking another in the head with his left leg. Ever the professional Miguel continued to sing, though with a concerned look on his face. "Let my love adorn you," he belted out.

The rest of the singer’s show went off without a hitch. Dressed in a white suit, Miguel sashayed across the stage sliding his microphone to and fro, while billowing smoke and flashing stage light set a sexy mood.

After the performance Miguel took the girl backstage with him and took to Twitter to let the viewers know that she was alright. "got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay," he wrote.

Tony Montana

Ju need people like him, so ju can point jur f***ing fingers and say, “That’s the bad guy”

Tony Montana Impersonator Arrested For Threatening Cops With Machete

According to TMZ reports:

A knife-wielding man dressed up as Tony Montana from the 1983 classic “Scarface” taunted police during a real-life standoff in L.A. … and stayed in character the entire time, TMZ has learned.

It all went down at an apartment complex in Hollywood around 10pm Tuesday night — cops were called to the scene to respond to a man wearing a Tony Montana-style white suit (with the big pimped-out collar) who began screaming at people while waving a machete.

When cops arrived, a police negotiator tried to convince the man to surrender peacefully — but he responded by screaming various quotes from “Scarface” … while pointing to a DVD copy of the movie he was carrying in his non-machete hand.

Sources at the scene tell us the Tony-alike taunted police by calling them, “f**king cops” … and threatening to cut them.

After a 6-hour standoff, cops convinced the man to throw his machete down into the apartment swimming pool … but officers were forced to use tear gas to take the suspect into custody.

This guy must not have seen how Scarface ended…SMMFH

mehki-phifer-wedding-3

Black Love Rocks!!! Mekhi Phifer’s weekend nuptials were a real Hollyweird affair. He even had Judge Mathis officiating his big event!

Here’s more details via E!News reports:

The actor, best known for playing Dr. Greg Pratt on ER, said “I do” to Reshelet Barnes on Saturday in Beverly Hills, Calif., at the Montage Hotel, E! News reports.

The couple made it official on an outdoor terrace in front of 100 family and friends, including Mekhi’s son, who walked down the aisle with an adorable Chihuahua on a leash!

Mehki was welcomed by friends waving as he walked in to Stevie Wonder’s “Ribbon in the Sky,” donning a white suit as he made his way to the front.

The bride stunned coming down the aisle to “Here Comes the Bride.” An eyewitness tells E! News: “When she made her entrance into the courtyard, Mekhi was completely overcome with emotion and you could tell she took his breath away. He had to wipe tears from his eyes for several minutes.”

The ceremony lasted a sweet 15 minutes as they exchanged rings and participated in a sand ceremony beneath an altar of yellow flowers. The union concluded with a standing ovation from the crowd.

We love to see black folks getting married — especially when the time is right. Congrats to the happy couple. We wish them all the best.

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are constantly jetting back and forth to Paris. And besides posing nude for French magazines the couple is also known to attend plenty of fashion shows. Kimye were in Paris to attend the Givenchy Fall/Winter 2013 Ready-to-Wear show in Paris this week, with Frank Ocean and Ciara nearby.

Kanye, Kim and her baby bump attended up the show wearing his and hers monochromatic suits. Kim was dressed in all black and Kanye sported a white suit, so the couple contrasted each other nicely. They sat in the front row in support of Kanye’s good friend, designer Riccardo Tisci. See more photos via TheYBF.

Frank Ocean was also there to show his support for Givenchy’s new line, sitting near Ciara in the front row. Both Ciara and Frank looked sleek dressed in all black. After the show the A-list crowd headed over to dinner with Riccardo and snapped pictures of their cozy dinner.

(Mary J Blige performs at the 2011 American Music Awards)

By Tamara Palmer

Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown and Ludacris all made early appearances during the American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 20), but there were still plenty of performances left to go, when they deserted the stage. Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Lil Jon, Marc Anthony, Mary J. Blige and Drake all followed up with attention-grabbing sets.

Mary J. Blige
While a few singers faltered with their vocals on Sunday night, an elegant Mary J. Blige (wearing a chic tailored white suit) gave the standout vocal performance of the night with “Mr. Wrong” from her forthcoming album My Life II: The Journey Continues, due out on November 21. As the song ended, a picture of the recently departed Heavy D appeared on the screen behind her. “Rest in peace to my dear friend, my loved one, my brother: the lovable and great Heavy D,” Mary said, her eyes swelling with emotion. “I miss you so much, brother.”

Jennifer Lopez
After Jennifer Lopez offered a few moments of her single “Papi" (literally set to an product placement for a car), Pitbull popped up to offer his brief verse to “On The Floor,” spending most of his few bars grinding up against Lopez’s famed posterior. Lopez later collected an award for Favorite Latin Artist (over Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias), insisting that she didn’t expect to win. “It’s been an amazing year in so many ways, just up and down,” she said. “I’m grateful for all my blessings."

Pitbull featuring Lil Jon
As Pitbull’s hit single “Tonight” began to play, the Miami rapper’s longtime collaborator Lil Jon assumed the familiar role of hype man, imploring the audience, “Can we get a little crazier than this tonight?” He introduced Pitbull and Marc Anthony to perform “Rain Over Me” alongside a bevy of female dancers. It was a bit of an ironic moment, considering that Pit had appeared onstage with Lopez only a few moments earlier.

Drake
Drake was the final hip-hop act of the night, performing the hit single “Headlines,” from his sophomore album Take Care. The Young Money rapper was decked out in all black with a pair of bedazzled gloves for some extra shine. He was introduced by Lionel Richie before taking the stage and fellow YMCMB rapper Nicki Minaj mouthed all the words to the song from the audience.

R&B crooner Chris Brown has made his mark as one of the most dazzling live performers of his generation. Inspired by legends such as the late Michael Jackson, Chris Brown upped the stakes during his 2011 MTV Video Music Awards performance Sunday night (August 28), complete with some circus-like theatrics and high-energy dance moves to boot. Breezy showed the entire viewing audience how fly he really is – literally.

Brown stomped onto the stage, decked out in an all-white suit, to his hit “Yeah 3X” before launching into a random switcheroo into Wu-Tang Clan’s “Protect Your Neck” smash from 1993 complete with some hard dance moves to match the RZA-produced classic. He then launched into Nirvana’s 1991 smash hit “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and rocked out to the best of his ability. Brown then smoothly transitioned into his dance hit “Beautiful People” – with invisible wires flinging the singer over the audience and landing him on an adjacent stage. Long after the performance, fans continued to rave about Brown’s showing at the VMAs.

“R.I.P to that #VMA stage that Chris Brown just KILLED!!! Best performance of the night! @chrisbrown GREAT JOB! #legend #vmas,” tweeted @yaboysharrod.

User @EppicInvasion was just slightly down but still wowed by the performance by tweeting, “Chris brown's performance was sick but wish he rocked look at me now. #vma.”

Legendary hip-hop producer DJ Premier even chimed in about Brown’s VMA spot by adding, “Chris Brown just murdered the VMA's.” Actress Lindsay Lohan, rapper Kreayshawn and many others echoed the same sentiment in saying Brown rocked the VMA stage.

Curiously enough, Chris Brown still gets the jitters before his big shows even though he’s considered one of the best to have done it. Breezy tweeted early Sunday evening, “I'm so nervous... I might have to take the biggest sh-- ever!!!!!” – although none was his alleged nervousness was on display during the VMAs.
