Eddie Murphy will return to the role of Detroit detective Axel Foley in Paramount’s upcoming fourth installment of the “Beverly Hills Cop” franchise.
According to Variety, Brett Ratner is currently negotiating to direct the sequel, while Murphy is confirmed for the project, which Paramount will begin shooting in 2009 for a summer 2010 release.
