Soul Train Awards Return After 2-year Hiatus

The Soul Train Awards plan to return to the air after a two-year hiatus to recognize those who helped shape R&B music.
Record executive Antonio “L.A.” Reid, singers Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Chaka Khan and Charlie Wilson will be honored on the two-hour music special to be taped in Atlanta.

T.I. has wrapped up another slew of BET Hip-Hop Awards nominations. The Atlanta-based rapper received nine nominations for the second annual awards show, which will air on Oct. 17. Last year, the self-proclaimed “King of the South” garnered eight nominations, and won three awarads.
