R&B bad boy Bobby Brown is back in the reality TV mix – this time as a contestant on the brand new CMT series, ‘Gone Country,’ which brings a motley mix of former popular celebrity notables together to duke it out for a shot at country music stardom.
In a recent interview, Whitney Houston’s former hubby – and original member of New Edition — said he didn’t have any qualms about joining the kitschy series – which also features former pop star Sisqo and former ‘Brady Bunch’ actress Maureen McCormick.
“‘Gone Country” is the best thing that could have happened to me, because I wrote some great songs, and I was able to get a lot of things out of my heart, and now my heart is pure again, and I’m ready for what the next 10 years has to offer me,” the ‘My Prerogative’ singer told New York Metro’s Pat Healy.
When probed about his future recording endeavor, Brown described it as a “masterpiece.”
