Ne-Yo’s Controversial Skin Color Comment
Once again our skin color is back in the news - this time courtesy of Ne-Yo, who said, “All the prettiest kids is light skin-ded anyway, normally,” during an interview that is feverishly making its rounds through the blogosphere.
The comment is made at the 7:00 mark when Jenny Boom Boom and Big Regg, deejays on Hot 93.7, and Ne-Yo are joking about Jenny Boom and Boom and Ne-Yo making babies.
I’m under the belief that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and free to state it thanks to the First Amendment. But being that I’m dark-skinned and of a certain age that remembers when it wasn’t all that sexy to be my complexion, I do take offense at the comment and realize how words like that can sting a young, dark-skinned girl who has not yet developed her confidence, which comes with age. Especially in this age of music videos and who is portrayed in them.

Neyo is a big nose sellout.Im tired of black people who get a little money and start selling out. Neyo is the kind of negro who sleeps with other races just to avoid having black children.He needs to take notes from USHER. USHER has class.Neyo needs to grow up and stop hating himself.
