Televangelist Juanita Bynum, who was brutally beaten, choked and stomped by her estranged preacher husband, appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America this week.
Bynum said of the incident on Good Morning America: “I’m very conscious to keep my heart on schedule to heal properly.”
During the show, Robin Roberts asked Juanita Bynum about her abusive first marriage and her separation from husband, preacher Thomas Weeks III. Juanita replied by saying: “My first marriage is something that, he repented for what he did, and I made a vow that I would not talk about that situation because it was over 20 years ago.
“I think right now my focus lately has been on why have I allowed this kind of behavior for a second time.”
Also, during an interview with Fox 5, Atlanta, Bynum talked about the beat-down Bishop Thomas W. Weeks inflicted upon her in an Atlanta airport hotel parking lot last month.
Although the divorce is in progress, Bynum admits, “My love for him, separating what I experienced in that parking lot … it’s so much until I think I think I can marry him twice, but this one is over.”
Thomas Weeks has been charged with felony aggravated assault and making terroristic threats.
