Jay-Z is in the frame to sponsor his own stadium, as he confirms details of a new album.

The rap mogul made his comeback to the world of hip hop earlier this year with Kingdom Come, and has now confirmed details a second release, entitled American Gangster.

He is also understood to in discussions about sponsoring a New Jersey arena, to the tune of $600,000, which would be branded by his Rocawear clothing range.

Hova has held talks with the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (Njsea) over naming rights to the Meadowlands venue, currently owned by Continental Airlines.

Speaking about the bidding war, a spokesman for the Njsea said: “We’re looking forward to presentations by bidders next week, and then we’ll get into the process of evaluation.

“I’m optimistic that we’ll be able to overachieve the current financial deal that we [had] with Continental.”

Meanwhile, Jay-Z’s upcoming album features all new music, set to soundtrack an accompanying film of the same name, which stars Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.

American Gangster is due for release on November 6.
