Jamie Foxx: Miley Cyrus ‘Make a Sex Tape And Grow Up’
Despite landing herself in the record books for scoring the second-highest grossing film debut during Easter weekend and threatening to “ruin” Radiohead’s career, teen sensation Miley Cyrus may have garnered more attention than she originally anticipated.
Earlier this year, the 16-year-old ‘Hannah Montana‘ star lashed out at the alternative English rock band for denying her face time during February’s annual Grammys. And to hear Miley tell it, she was a bit disappointed (to say the least) by the band’s rudeness.
“I told my manager, ‘Pull as many strings.’ My manager asked and said, ‘Miley’s really obsessed.’ And they were like, ‘We don’t really do that,’” Cyrus recalled on the ‘Johnjay and Rich’ morning radio show just days following the show.
“They’re the reason I love music,” she continued . “Just to say you don’t really do that. It’s not like I was going to bring my crew. …I left ’cause I was so upset. I wasn’t going to watch. Stinkin’ Radiohead! I’m gonna ruin them. I’m going to tell everyone.”
Well, apparently not everyone was too enthused by the Disney queen’s remarks.
Jamie Foxx has now stepped in and added his two cents about Cyrus’ thoughts on Radiohead. The Academy Award-winning actor vented earlier this week during his profanity-filled Sirius satellite radio show ‘The Foxxhole.’
“Who is Miley Cyrus?” he asked following a listener who called in about the incident. “The one with all the gums? She gotta get a gum transplant. …S–t.”
He continued, “She’s going to ruin Radiohead’s career? The same Radiohead that gets paid a million dollars just to sample their song? That Radiohead?”
The ‘Blame It’ singer even had some advice for Cyrus’ career.
“Make a sex tape and grow up. Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin. Do like Lindsay Lohan and start seeing a lesbian and get some crack in your pipe. Catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat. That’s what I want.”
UPDATED:
In the midst of the media attention generated by this story, Foxx received public scrutiny following his statements. On April 14, the ‘Booty Call’ star took time out to apologize during an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.’
“I so apologize to Cyrus, and this is sincere,” he said. “I am a comedian, and you guys know that whatever I say, I don’t mean any of it. And sometimes, as comedians, as we do, we go a little bit too far.”
“We go at everybody,” he explained. “There was a situation with Miley Cyrus, and I just want to say, I apologize for what I said. I didn’t mean it maliciously. You know I’m a comedian. You know my heart. ..Miley, I apologize. So I’ll call you. I got a daughter, too, so I completely understand.”
