Gainesville, Fla., Names Plaza After Bo Diddley

Officials in Gainesville have renamed the city’s downtown plaza after rock ‘n’ roll legend and former Florida resident Bo Diddley.

Bo Diddley Suffers Heart Attack

The 78-year-old rock ‘n’ roll pioneer was listed in stable condition at a Florida hospital Tuesday after suffering a heart attack, according to his publicist, Susan Clary.
Diddley reportedly complained of dizziness and nausea Friday during a routine medical checkup and was taken to North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainsville, near his hometown of Archer.
