Televangelist Juanita Bynum talked of healing as she worshipped with radio listeners on Thursday morning.
It’s been more than a month since the alleged domestic violence incident involving Bynum and her estranged husband Bishop Thomas Weeks III outside an Atlanta hotel. In that time, Bynum has filed for divorce, and said she is in the process of healing and moving forward.
On Thursday morning, as fill-in host on 97.5-Praise FM radio, she read from the Bible, and offered encouragement to listeners going through tough times.
“What you are going through now, if you had been through it before, it wouldn’t be here now,” Bynum said. “And if it’s back again, you didn’t pass it the first time. So come on, get it right. In the midst of it all, when you’re going through the pain, and going through the sleepless nights, I want to let you know today, that there is healing for your spirit.”
Bynum, a Pentecostal pastor, said she wants to launch a new ministry to reach out to other women who have suffered violent attacks at the hands of the men who are supposed to love them. Thursday’s show was one way she said she plans to reach out and give back.
Weeks was charged with felony aggravated assault, felony terroristic threats, and two counts of simple battery in connection to the incident.
