| The Breakdown... We incur alot of costs to provide our listeners with quality content, but it's expensive at the end of the month. We do not receive revenue from commercial ads. We stream commercial-free music without interruption or annoying talk. Urban Music 2000 Radio DJs and producers spend hundreds of dollars out of their own pockets every month on the stations. We'd like to expand and allow more listeners to tune in and we'd like to upgrade the listening quality to at least FM or preferably CD-quality. We need more money to do this. We do not want to turn our stations into subscription stations and alienate our listeners. Instead, we'd like to ask for your help in the form of a donation. Any amount ranging from $5-$50 would help a great deal. Donations of $50 will receive a free Urban Music 2000 Radio t-shirt. By making a donation today, you will ensure that Urban Music 2000 Radio will be streaming online for years to come. We are currently using Aamzon's Honor System to accept contributions. If you have ever made a purchase from them, your info is already on file and you are already familiar with their level and security when it comes to protecting your account inofrmation. They do not share your information with us. As a matter of fact, all donations are anonymous unless you choose to make us aware of your identity. |
| We can always use more bandwidth! If you are a Tier1/2 ISP with a minimum of 50 megabit/sec of bandwidth, and have a machine that can run the Shoutcast server software (Linux, BSD, Solaris versions are available) or Windows Media server capacity, then you have what it takes. (The CPU load added by shoutcast is negligible). |
