Rami, there aren't any US movies that portrays ancient or modern Egyptians as black. Any American movies portraying Egypt like "Cleopatra" and "The Ten Commandments" had white actors. It's a percentage of African Americans who just merely believe that ALL ancient Egyptians were black and create youtube videos twisting facts and selecting only Nubian art to support their claims. Youtube videos aren't American movies. :-\

yes, many Egyptians are black, if you want them to portray some of the white Egyptians then i do not think it will be possible.

Anyway, if you can make them stop portraying Arabs as idiots riding camels to work and all they care about is belly dancers, then you might be able to make them portray some Egyptians as white, or at least portray the man riding the camel to work as white :D

i guess it is more of a director's choice than it is portraying accurately, for example, if the director used a white man riding his car to work inside the city where you can not see any sand dunes, then where will be the sense of adventure ?, they can shoot that scene in any city.

But to follow the old path of Hollywood's directors, they have to portray the idiot black man riding his camel in the desert, cause spectators are used to that.

Edit: by black i do not mean black like an african american, i mean Egyptian black, which is more like brown

Omar El Shereef isnt black.
he takes the role of an Arab or an Egyptian in Hollywood .
Amr Waked is another Egyptian who has roles in Hollywood .
the fact is that a Director has the choice to choose his actors , make them Cocasian , Black , Yellow , whatever !
do not make this an issue .
forget it !

Mmm to be honest i havent seen any movie that has portrayed Egyptians as black. Its actually more like they are white actors.
I went and saw Night at the Museum 2 today(dunno why i bothered lol), and the actors portraying ancient egyptians were white, or really lightly tanned..! And there are all different shades of Egyptians, like any other.. ?!

Cut it out please because some Egyptians especially in ancient Egypt were Black (Nubians) What are you? I am Arab and if you are Arab too then you really have no room to open your mouth as Arabs are not the orginal people of Egypt. Its is no mystery that the orginal people of Egypt have brown/tan skin.
