Why not say Ellen or other talk show host are trying to be like Oprah? why just say Tyra?
If someone admires someone, does that mean they are trying to imitate their style? it could just mean they want success like them

I don't think Tyra really knows what she wants. She spends most of her shows talking about herself anyway. She just wants to be popular and make money doing it. Her shows about race are complete failures, as she rarely touches on the topics and she doesn't listen to any opposing views. She's right and no one else's opinion matters.

I can't believe I used to look up to this broad.

No,she's just her inspiration and sees her as one of her role models too,she even said it herself a couple of times.Sometimes when somebody inspires you,they may wind up doing the same like them most often happening with music artist,dancers,doctors,etc.Being black has nothing to do with it,even Christina Agularia,Shakira,and Rosie Perez I inspire admiring them making me want to follow at something and they're opposite the races of me.

I've heard Tyra herself say she's trying to be the next Oprah while watching her show.
I never considered her trying to be like Oprah because she's black, but more so due to the fact that the topics Tyra explores on her show are similar to Oprah's.

Every daytime talk show host is trying to be like Oprah, whether they admit it or not. Tyra just gets a lot of attention because she's hot (Sorry, it's the truth). Her show is horrendous though, since everything has to relate back to her.

Well, I thought people linked Tyra to Oprah because Tyra was trying to do so much stuff. I mean Oprah has her hands dipped in so many things, which is what Tyra is trying to do with the TV show, Talk Show, Tyty productions (or whatever it is called)...and the failed music career. By the way did you guys ever catch that music video/song she did? Horrendous in deed. Tsk... Anyhow, she still has a long way to go to catch up with Oprah.
