I think the obviosu one is Nile, who have some extremely complex riffs...just check out their song 'Papyrus Containing the Spell to Preserve its Possessor from He who is in the Water' (I'm not joking, that is its real title):

I don't know how brutal you'd find them. They're pretty heavy, but the technicality comes before the brutality, at least in this song. Their other ones are pretty good too, I would recommned their album 'Ipythallic'.
