| Grachan Moncur III albums are my favorite, the ones on Blue Note Records (from the 1960's) with Jackie McLean, and his playing on Jakie's albums too. Moncur's Evolution album might be my favorite. I also like the James Newton albums with Steve Terre, and the Jazz Passengers (not Jazz Messengers) albums with their trombone player. I forget his name. One of My favorite trombone solos that I can think of is Jimmy Kneppler's solo on the Charles Mingus song called Invisible Lady. Very emotional solo. Powered by Yahoo Answers |
