Default Comedy detective jazz music?

I need a theme (about 30 seconds to a minute should be OK) for a scene in our play. It's a comedy scene, and it's a detective inspection. The Pink Panther is an obvious one, but I was wondering if there could be anything less obvious than that because it's too obvious of a choice.

Thanks

Peter Gunn Theme (from the 1958 TV show).
A Shot in the Dark (from a 1960's movie "A Shot in the Dark" with Peter Sellers).

If you want unknown the opening bars of "El Conga Valiente " from Cuban Fire by Stan Kenton composed by Johnny Richards . Another thought is the opening bars to "Elementals " by Dave Brubeck .Yet another thought is "Jumpin at The Woodside " by Count Basie . One more thought "12th Street Rag " .One other "Rubens Blues " by Stan Kenton composed by Gene Roland

Jumpin at the Woodside ( which my Dad played when with the Basie Band) is a great choice....

There there is also almost any tune from Booker T and the M.G.s , which are more of a Soul/R&B vein and some associated with the Blues Brothers....
