GEE, let's see now...Free you say , WOW, you don't make this easy.
You did'nt say whether you lived in a metropolis, city or small town or
rural setting. It depends on how much access you have to the area you live in. You might try all the libraries you can get to and ask if they have a copy in their archives. It's a stretch, I know, but" any port in a storm ".
You might talk to a librarian who knows a person or a resource she can turn you on to. I would let my fingers do the walking, look up all places selling instruments, sheet music, accessories etc. Look up people that give music lessons , call to ask if they may have a copy they would let you photocopy. Find out what schools in your area have bands and ask to speak to their band director. Maybe they have a copy or know someone that may have a copy. Find out how to get in contact with the film company that put out "Polar Express" and ask if they would send or E-mail you a copy. Put up a well written and colorful flier on a public or community bulletin board asking if anyone may have this music. Colleges are great for that interaction. Go to the
"Student Center" of any local colleges with your fliers , they will have several community bulletin boards there you can leave your information on.
While you are at the college, it would'nt hurt to stop in their music department and ask around in there for help. I hope this helps...and good luck !
