Whatever you think fits this category. I understand the limitations of genre labeling.
I need to get some Progressive Trance albums.
I like all the Electronica genres. Progressive Trance is just my favorite at the moment. Feel free to list all your favorite Electronica albums from any sub-genre.

I'll just say "Trans-Europe Express"(Kraftwerk) although it may not fit perfectly

Yes, I'd also list Depeche Mode("Music for the Masses") and Nitzer Ebb("Showtime" and "Ebbhead")

Sweet Dreams - La Bouche. I suppose it's more dance pop but whatever. It's all electronic. I bet they played it in Ibiza when it first came out.

-----------
Oh, well it's definitely not progressive trance. I wish I still lived with this Greek kid I used to live with. He was all about that kind of music.

I think electronica is supposed to be a specific type of electronic music with its own subgenres, but here I'm just going to use it as a wide umbrella to cover all electronic things haha. :P Here's some of my favs from what I've heard so far:

- Ambient:
Adham Shaikh - Drift
Aes Dana - Fahrenheit Project Part One
Angelzoom - Angelzoom
Antimatter - Lights Out
Arcana - Cantar De Procella, Inner Pale Sea, and The New Light
Artesia - Chants d'automne, Hilvern, and L'aube morne
Atrium Carceri - Ptahil
Coph Nia - Qliphothic Phantasmagoria
Delerium - Chimera, Poem, and Nuages du Monde
Hagalaz' Runedance - Frigga's Web
Midnight Syndicate - Born of the Night
Nox Arcana - Grimm Tales, Shadow of the Raven
Qntal - Silver Swan
Shiva In Exile - Ethnic, Nour

- Eurodance / Dance Pop:
ATC - Planet Pop
Capella - U Got 2 Know
Eiffel 65 - Europop
Madonna - Like A Prayer, Madonna, Ray of Light, True Blue
3rei Sud Est - Iubire

- Downtempo / (electronic) New Age / Trip hop:
Natalie Walker - Urban Angel
Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X
Zero 7 - Simple Things
The Baby Namboos - Ancoats 2 Zambia
Esthero - Breath From Another
Morcheeba - Who Can You Trust? and The Antidote
Robert Miles - Organik
Supreme Beings of Leisure - 11i
Aeoliah - Healing Music for Reiki 3 : Mandala of Unity
Cusco - Apurimac II
Enaid - Avalon: A Celtic Legend
Era - The Mass

- Electropop:
Émilie Simon - La Marche de l'Empereur
Goldfrapp - Black Cherry and Supernature
Jem - Finally Woken
Kate Havnevik - Melankton
Sleepthief - The Dawnseeker
Uh Huh Her - Common Reaction

- Dubstep:
Burial - Untrue
(I also have random tracks, can't find their albums, from Benga, Digital Mystikz, Skream, and The Widdler)

- House:
Robert Miles - Dreamland
BodyRockers - BodyRockers
Moloko - Statues
Therese - Acapulco

- Industrial / Aggrotech:
Ayria - Debris and Flicker
Dust of Basement - Remembrances
I:Scintilla - Optics
:wumpscut: - Wreath of Barbs
Combichrist - What the **** Is Wrong With You People?
Amduscia - Melodies for the Devil
(trying to keep fusion genres like industrial rock/metal out of it)

- Trance:
Cosmic Gate - Rhythm & Drums
DJ Sasha - Global Underground 013: Ibiza
Blank & Jones - DJ Culture
Chicane - Behind the Sun
Paul van Dyk - Reflections
Trance Allstars Worldwide - Trance Allstars Worldwide
Alice Deejay - Who Needs Guitars Anyway?

- Other (breakbeat hardcore, darkwave, electrorock/punk)
The Prodigy - Experience
Lo Fidelity Allstars - How To Operate With A Blown Mind
Hungry Lucy - Glo
Dargaard - The Dissolution of Eternity, Eternity Rites, and Rise and Fall
Lahannya - Welcome to the Underground EP
Retard-O-Bot - Friendship Forever

Honestly, there's so much electronic music out there that it would take years of listening to be able to get a good representation of most of them! I've only heard a little bit, like 5 or 10, maybe a few more on certain genres, so I can't really judge accurately! But here's my list anyway. :)

As for progressive trance....do you know DJ Sasha? He's sort of a prog trance/house mixover...

Radiohead - Kid A
Bjorl - Debut, Homogenic
Boards of Canada - Music has the right to children
Daft punk - Homework, Discovery
Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene
Brian Eno -
Goldfrapp- Felt Mountain
Kraftwerk - Radioactivity
Neu! - Neu!
Justice - Cross

I agree that some MIA tracks can be considere as electronic though its clearly bastardised electroica and that's whats great!

I wonder if Stereolab are electronica.. not really but I thought they had some of the vibe.. they do have a moog obsession.
Stereolab - Refried Ectoplasm

I don't know if all above are actually electronica, but its always like this with musical nomenclature...

Reminds me that I really have to seriously listen to the aphex twin..
