Jay Z headling Glastonbury - Urban Music 2000 Forums

Some people may have heard about Glastonbury: it's the largest music festival in the UK, and this year Jay Z is headlining. There has been quite a bit of controversy, what with bands saying that hiphop has no place at the festival. But, I'm watching Jay Z's set now.. and it's pretty brilliant. He started with a Wonderwall cover, mocking Noel Gallagher, the lead singer of Oasis, who was one of the more out spoken ones declaring Jay Z was not welcome there.

Research? I dont need "research" to know im not a big fan of someone who talk into a microphone, and calls it rapping.. I dont beleave somthng just because the TV or RADIO tells me to. I have my own mind, and i reserve the right to use it to come to my own conclusions. And your entitled to your opinion as well, But no amount of research could ever change my mind in this matter. But i will give Jay-Z props on one thing, and thats bang'n Beyonce. lol

The rapper had received widespread criticism since it was unveiled that he would headline the Pyramid Stage on June 28th event.
