using this software u can download vids and aft u hav done tht u can conver them from flv format to the most common ones...
to be able to play on an ipod or anything of the sort convert the video to mp4 format ... that ought to work..

you mean mp3 player? because mp3 isn't a video file, it's an audio file.

first, you need a video downloader for youtube (e.g. orbit downloader is a good one. plus, it's free. just google it)
the videos you download from youtube are usually flv filess except if you choose to download the original file uploaded by the account owner (which could be any file format)
depending on the type of video files your player can play, you are going to need a video converter. i use total video converter.
from there you can just convert the flv video to any supported video format and then copy the video to your player and enjoy.
