Default Does Hip-Hop "culture" represent a regression to mankind's most primitive state?

The repetitive beats, the macho posturing, the overt sexuality, the outlandish attire, the fascination with bright shiny objects...
Truly remarkable from an anthropological perspective is it not?

No more than any other cultural group. You could also make that kind of reference to Nascar fans, football fans, hockey fans. But I bet you wouldnt, because that would not be racist enough to piss people off, huh? I am fascinated by my wedding set, it is bright, shiny, and expensive. Does that mean I am regressing to a primitive state?

Hip-hop music and culture is a big complain. It is a quite aggressive complain towards representatives of the society that is believed they are acting in a malevolent way.In order to complain to the society itself you must swim against the stream. As every new fashion and music wave ,hip-hop born its own identity that is the bright shiny stuff you describe. which were considered in the age of its creation something not common.

Why don't you try listening to hip-hop first. So far, you've just described what some artists dress like in videos. You are being superficial and judgmental, not trying at all to even a little deep regarding your question. Actually, you are too ignorant to deal with and I regret starting to answer your question. It would take way too much to get you to even understand your own question. You're looking for justification to be racist and derogatory. Hip hop is some of the most poetic social statements ever made. It is pure, raw emotion and story-telling through flow of consciousness. Does hip hop scare you? Does all that manliness intimidate you? Does all that sexuality make you squirm? Are you jealous because you can't dance or sing or think from the heart?
