Default Lyrics I Made about hip hop today. What do you think?

Nas Was Right
By Big Jack

You should know who Nas is if you listen to hip hop or rap
New York State of Mind was his song, that song slap
All the rappers now are the same, was what he said
At first I didn't get what he meant, but I was just being dumb

After hearing some classic songs, I saw what Hip Hop has become
I listened to Naught By Natures classic song Hip Hop Hooray
And its in a totally different league then whats on the radio today
NWO's songs are on different level than guys like Lil Wayne
And you cant compare The Geto Boyz to artists like T-Pain

Listen to 80 or 90s classics, then listen to todays popular crap
I'm In Love Wit A Stripper doesnt hold a candle to classic Rap
I could play Big Poppa on repeat for hours while Im just layin in bed
But if I hear Lollipop just 2 or 3 tmes I wanna put a bullet in my head

Songs need to start well, an theres been some good starts in the past
Like when **** It Feels Good to Be a Gangsta begins 2 blast
Ice Cubes Gansta Rap Made Me Do It is more than just a song
It has a message and it was about something he felt was wrong
2Pac had a song to his mom, those lyrics came from the heart
2pacs songs all have great lryics cuz hes a rapper whose smart

Flo Rida is a pretty big star in the music world right now
People thought Shawty Got Low was good, i dont see how
Songs that are popular today, dance songs with no point to them
They aint got no meaning, like the song for his daughter by Eminem

Luniz made I Got 5 On It back in 95 and its popular still today
WIll kids still be doing the Soulja Boy in 15 years, no way!
Classics from back in the day will never stop getting played
But popular songs nowadays go away soon as a new songs made
Then when a big new song comes out, the radio plays it non stop
I swear if I hear "Boots wit the fur" one more time my heads gonna pop

People used to only have radios, and a good song was always on
Thats when new Hip Hop made u wanna dance, and not wanna yawn
I wish the radio played classic HipHop and not songs by Chris Brown
If Tupoc saw how bad Hip Hops gotten he would prolly frown

If only this was a time where HipHop culture was stil going strong
A time where the legendary 2pac and Biggie Smalls aint gone
Where future classic songs are the popular songs from today
But HipHop, 2pac, an Biggie are dead, and todays songs are gay
Hopefully in the future Hip Hop will rise from outta the graves
Hopefully someday real HipHop will be playd on the radio waves
This era of HipHop has been bad, an Im sorry this has 2 be said
But I have got to agree with what Nas said, cuz Hip Hop is dead

Well thats it. What do you think?

If hip hop is dead, it's because every talentless nobody thinks they can rap. You suck.

I don't think hip hop is dead... I listen to Common and Lupe to get my fix. I think the radio stations feed us crap, though.

Your song is kinda sing songy... elementary. I don't want to be offensive, but it's more like spoken word.

im not sure if youre in a wheelchair but hip hop was always about dancing... music is always changing and hiphop is not dead as i feel it is more alive then ever..

theres no problems with songs about nothing if they make you feel good when your hear them...

Hay come on now leave little Chris Brown alone. He isn't even a rapper. I do agree with you though rap sucks now. Even Jay Z is slipping. Have you heard Brooklyn (go hard)? What happened to his Reasonable Doubt days? There should be a rule if your southern you can't be a rapper. The south is what is making hip hop so bad, with all these Atlanta and College Park rappers. Dr. Dre needs to bring gangsta rap back because all this crunk, hand clap, and snap beat sh*t sucks. Good rhythm.
