| I would replace the plugs and wires first, unless he ran codes on your car to see that that was the problem. Plugs and wires are cheaper than the ignition coil, and more times than not, is where the problem lies. Also, if you take out your ignition coils, you can take out the bolts, look inside of it, and see if there is bad contact in there. I hope i helped in some way. Good Luck PS: Also, check to make sure the plugs aren't cracked. This would definatley cause black plugs, and arcing to the engine block. Causing missing and wasted fuel. Replacing the spark plugs that are blackening could fix the issue. Powered by Yahoo Answers |

| Your fuel mixture is to rich. You're either not getting enough air or your ignition is off. Does the car have a electronic ignition? Might want to start there and have it tested. Powered by Yahoo Answers |

| a bad knock sensor will also cause that it helps to advance the timing on one when its in a bind or needs it and if it doesn't work right it will cause it to run rich and blacken the plugs on it,you need to have the computer scanned and see what it says about it,if its a knock sensor you,ll get a code for it being bad, good luck.
