Default VISA question: Foreign travel Philippines?

If I was traveling to Singapore and had a layover in the Philippines, but never left the airport would I need to present my passport to anyone at the airport. I know the Philippines does not require a Visa for any stay in their country under 26 days. However, if I stay in the airport while waiting for my connecting flight, will I ever have to present my passport for inspection?

Yes, you will be required to present your passport to be checked by immigration once you arrive and leave the country regardless of whether you left the airport or stayed within its premises.

Tranquil is right. Everyone has to pass through immigration and get your passport checked and stamped. Just inform the immigration officer that you have a connecting flight to catch. Prepare your ticket, they might look for it. By the way, you do not need Philippine visa for stay less than 22 days.

......since your in the airport waiting for your connecting flight (meaning you already have the boarding pass with you), you can keep it in your luggage or handcarry for safety.....it is not needed anymore since you have the boarding pass already.....
