And what do you think they’d write about in their 140 characters or less micro-blogs? Examples of what you imagine their typical tweet would say are encouraged! Thanks in advance for your answers. : ) It took me an absurdly long time to pick a best answer to this question because there are so many that are witty, creative, delightful, and made me burst into a smile when I read them. Thanks everyone! You're all awesome. Powered by Yahoo Answers

Heh... EDWARD!!! LYKE OMG!!! Kidding... I'd probably follow Holden Caulfield's [Catcher in the Rye]. He's such a depressed loner...and it'd be interesting to see what he's doing all day. lol. Erm, I can't really say what he'd write in 140 character space per se, since he usually drags out everything. lol. Wow...I'm talking about him like he's real. Ok, I'll stop now. I just really love the book. Powered by Yahoo Answers

Film: Darth Vader ("Gotta go duel my son/old mentor...brb.") Literary: Alex Portnoy ("******************** you, Mom." Also, more, uh, sexually explicit and inappropriate material...sometimes about his mom) And, on the religious side: Jesus (Just walked on water. It didn't turn into wine lol" or "JUDAS AND I ARE NO LONGER FRIENDS!!1!11!") That is, of course, if I Twittered. Powered by Yahoo Answers

I'd follow Mr. Darcy's, though I have no idea what he'd write about in his tweets. I'd follow Bartimaeus from The Amulet of Samarkand, and I bet his tweets would make me laugh so hard my stomach would hurt. He's probably be making fun of humans. He's so sarcastic. Oh, and Kitty's. She'd talk about Nathaniel, maybe. I'd also follow Jack Sparrow's tweets from The Pirates of the Caribbean. He's also another one who's funny, though, yet again, I'm afraid I have no idea what he'd say. (I'm not funny, you see.) I'd follow Harry's and Ron's for sure. Hermione's as well. She'd probably tweet about new things she'd discovered, potions she's created, books she's read, those things. I have a feeling she'd constantly be recommending books. As for Harry, his tweets are a bit harder to imagine. Ron...well, he'd have a lot of "blood hells" there. I always laugh when he says that! I'd also follow Draco's and Victor "Yum" Krum. George's too. I think he'd tweet about all the things Fred loves and what Fred would be doing. "Oh, I can picture Fred's expression now..." Things like that. I'd also follow Katniss, Peeta, and Gale's tweets. Peeta would tweet about his artwork or his baking or Haymitch and definitely about Katniss. Katniss would tweet about Prim and her mother and President Snow and hunting and Peeta and Gale and her confused feelings. Oh, and also the Games and revolution. For sure. Gale would tweet about the revolution and maybe his family and hunting. I'm sure I have more. Anyway, interesting question! Powered by Yahoo Answers

Hehe. Awesome question. I'm a bit uh..inebriated posting this so bear with me. Film: Miles from Sideways. I'd want to continue knowing about his frustrations with getting his book published and how his relationship with Maya goes as well as new wines he tasted. Book: Jay Gatsby. I have no idea why. There is just something so intriguing about him yet I can never put my finger on it. Perhaps Ebenezer Scrooge would be another good one. Following his encounters with the three ghosts and his epiphany I'd like to know what happened. Powered by Yahoo Answers

The Mad Hatter - I'm very easily amused, and the Mad Hatter is bound to speak of such nonsense things. I can picture him typing absolute nonsense; "Beware the Jaberwock. He eats the mimsy borogoves." Randal McMurphy - He just asks for a fight. He's blunt; I love blunt. Elizabeth Bennet - I've got to see what my most favourite literary heroine has to say for herself. I'm not sure what she'd exactly say - something uplifting and motivational. The Cat in the Hat :) - Dr. Suess is one of my favourite nonsense authors. I love reading nonsense. But he always has a purpose, regardless of how absurd his quote is; green eggs and ham? I love it! Hahah. Luna Lovegood - I love Loony's insanity. Her Tweets would be the best. I could always use a good laugh. Powered by Yahoo Answers

| Film: 'Boo' from Monsters Inc. "Mike Wakowski!" Film: Optimus Prime from Transformers OP: We have secretly been gathering forces to take over the world! OP: JK OP: You want me and my boys to get Bin Laden out of those mountains? We can bring him back in the mountain if you want. OP: BRB gotta drain the oil tank. OP: Back. OP: AFK OP: Cop pulled me over for driving without a passenger. 350.00 dollar ticket can you believe the Forking A-Hole. Where am I gonna keep a passenger when I change? Next to my water hose? Literary Character: Odd Thomas from Koontz 'Odd Thomas' series. Odd: The ghost of Lincoln has been hanging around shaking his head about the uselessness of the penny. Odd: Dinner was a blast when the Kennedy clan all came to hang out. They like Obama but that whole nobel peace prize award, it makes a spirit go, hmmmmm. Odd: Martin Luther King thinks all men should pull up their gosh darn pants, regardless of the name on the boxers. It isn't about the name on your behind but the fact that no one should judge you by the crack of your butt. And that's a direct quote. Odd: Really Elvis should have rethought that sequined jumpsuit. And he says to tell you that isn't him in the McDonald's in Wicoigen. Odd: And stop asking me about TuPac he's not really dead, but Biggie keeps trying to sell me bags of sugar and mix cds... | Swan from the swan song (if you haven't read it you must its the best book i've read in such a long time - a young girl with the power to heal life, growing up in an earth we couldn't begin to imagine, each tweet would be tragically amazing, and bring so much. Also Christopher Mccandles (Alexander Supertramp) - Book and film true story. If he had a tweet page wow, i would be hooked. His perspective and outlook on life, from the natural beauty of the world to the compassion of people would be so amazing. I imagine he would comment on the sites he has seen, the people he has met and the impact it has had on his life. Supertramp did what so many people do - go traveling but in such a way that it moved and changed me into wanting to live an extraordinary life so much - his tweet page would just be amazing. So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more dangerous to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun." — Chris McCandless "The core of mans' spirit comes from new experiences." — Chris McCandless "There is pleasure in the pathless woods, There is rapture on the lonely shore, There is society where none intrudes, By the deep sea and the music in its roar; I love not man the less, but Nature more." — Lord Byron 'Happiness Only Real When Shared’ From Chris Diary Extract Powered by Yahoo Answers |

One of my absolute favorite literary characters of all time has been Elizabeth Bennet from Pride and Prejudice, a strong, independent young woman whose character clearly strays from that of the typical woman of the 19th century. After seeing that five hour long movie, and especially after reading the book (yes, I read the book after I saw the movie), she has always been one of my most-adored idols. With that being said, I think a typical tweet of Mrs. Bennet's would very likely be "I could easily forgive his pride, if he had not mortified mine," a quote I remember very vividly, and that possibly stood out to me the most as I read the book. Or something alone those lines, phrased differently, of course. Haha. As for more general things, I'm sure she would periodically tweet about how blatantly selfish and crude Mr. Darcy seemed, how her friend Charlotte made a huge mistake when marrying Mr. Collins, the mini-rants would go on for maybe a year or two, everyone reconciles in the end, and it's all a perfect love story :) I'd also love to see the twitter pages of Elvis, and Shirley Temple. Now those would be interesting :) Edit: I clicked "submit answer" too fast. I can't believe I forgot to add Harry Potter. Typical tweets of Harry would include something about the endless bickering of Ron and Hermione, or "ugh, Dudley strikes again!" or "Will Hermione please give it a rest?" or "We have yet to find another horcrux." And Ron's would probably say something like, "Bloody ****, Harry's got a wrackspurt up his sleeve! Fred and George told me about those!" And Hermione's would say something like, "Oh, we are so screwed! I TOLD them they were wrong!" Something along those lines...haha Except I'm not sure Harry would publicly announce on his twitter page that he's found another horcrux. Just a thought. Powered by Yahoo Answers

Actually, occasionally they do! My favorite author set up a twitter account for one of her characters for the run-up to her latest novel "Frostbitten" so that we could follow her day-to-day life and get excited for it's release. The book has come out now, so the account isn't releasing new tweets, but it was definitely fun to read! The account is http://twitter.com/elenamichaels A few examples: "Antonio got up with the kids. Even kept them quiet. Without duct tape. The man is amazing." "4 hour drive with 3 year old twins. Considered sedation, but Clay probably wants me awake." Powered by Yahoo Answers
