    Default Dunkin' Donuts Vs. Starbucks

    Well, where I live the whole city has been dominated by Starbucks for about a year now and that was really the only time this city has gotten a big coffee place like that. But now we have a fancy new Dunkin' Donuts over here and I am interested to know what everyone else thinks of these two establishments.

    Personally I absolutely loathe Starbucks, and hate their prices even more than their coffee. Then again, my city is full of a bunch of Hill jacks like myself so I don't find it too surprising that the Starbucks here isn't well liked.

    If you don't like either of these places and want to vote other, let me know. Maybe your local coffee shop beats out both of these.

    Not a big coffee drinker, but I don't like Dunkin Donuts' doughnuts. Krispy Kreme is the best to me. Here, we have Coffeee Bean, Starbucks, Winchell's, Dunkin' Donuts, and i'm sure many more I can't recall.
    Starbucks has a nice selection for people like me who don't like coffee all that much. I can add all kinds of syrups and psices to mask the taste or get it on ice. I like Starbucks' pastries.

    I agree that Starbucks has a ton of extra stuff to put in coffee, but when I am in the mood for something else I just buy the creme from the store and still save the extra five bucks.

    I don't see how you guys drink that crap. It's much too strong and expensive. I guess part of their popularity comes from the fact that lately kiddies have been adopting the notion that drinking Starbucks coffee is the cool thing to do.

    I don't have any preference, really; neither are too great. My favourite coffee shop is costa coffee.. you may not have it over in the US, though.

    I don't know if their coffee is strong or not because I add so many extras to it like cinnamon, vanilla, raw sugar, and syrup sweetener.
    It's probably the most popular because it's more widely known. They're in the media all the time, celebrities mention them, financial gurus always talk about cutting Starbucks out of your spending budget, it's associated with spoken poetry and grunge bands in Seattle... it's the first place people think of when you mention coffee.
