|  A high school reunion of sorts? Thoughts on poem? High School Reunion Within my eyes I trace the lines A snapshot of What was my life four years as nobody fourteen years left me Two minutes away In someone else’s bed sheets Nothing has changed Driving down streets Of my childhood beat Haunted by failings Waiting for mail brings An unemployment check Pays interest at best Doesn’t impress, Collectors or the opposite sex Watch my ship sailing From a dock made of pavement A check engine light In my retinas blazing As children much taller Out from the school holler black straps falling From my slumping shoulders Strange they look older Time for me to fold here Come take much more Scraping the bottom Of a shard strewn floor tears- Same old deal School on the right Of the same old hill A vicious circle That keeps me still Try to make something But I never will My high school a reminder I am nobody still DragonLady 2009 Powered by Yahoo Answers |

| Yea, you are a somebody, cause most of those at that reunion couldn't produce anything like this poem. It struck me like a train. Wonderful, wonderful write. And listen, some of the 'successful' ones are living on plastic. Times are hard everywhere right now; we can only hope it will get better. God bless you til your cup overflows.
