One would be funding for alternative energy which in turn does create jobs. These big business ( oil companies) make billions of dollars and most of the time writes everything off!! Obama will tax those who make over $250,000 a year, a very small percentage of small business owners make more than that.

First of all, Obama's plan is not to just tax the rich. The poor and middle class will still pay their taxes. And unless you make 250 grand or more, you won't see an increase. But the rich will not benefit from the Bush tax cuts anymore. They will simply go back to paying the same amount they did during the Clinton years. (Remember them, where everyone made more money, not just the rich?)
As for businesses, most large corporations in this country don't pay ANY taxes. Zero. All they have to do is claim their headquarters is an empty room and a mailbox in the Grand Cayman Islands and they pay zero taxes to the government, shifting the burden to us. Obama plans to close those loopholes, by the way.
Now, how will Obama create jobs? Say the government passes a $4 billion infrastructure plan. It will create millions of high-payinig jobs as they will need people to rebuild the roads, maintain the bridges, redesign intersections, etc. Or, say the government offers billion dollar grants to boost alternative energy industries. Millions more jobs will be created farming bio-fuels, building windmills, installing solar panels, etc.
By spending money on improving the country's foundations and fulfilling its needs, we will boost economic growth as well as tax revenue. If we can spend $10 billion a month in Iraq, we can certainly spend a little on ourselves and save the economy in the process.

One way is by offering tax incentives for companies that work to reduce or eliminate our country's dependence on foreign energy. Some examples include U.S. offshore oil, nuclear, wind, and clean coal technologies. Providing incentives to create new business opportunities and/or expand operations of existing energy businesses will produce more U.S. jobs and keep those energy dollars from going overseas.

With his renewable energy plan it will allow for more people to find jobs in the field for labor intensive work as well as engineering, of course.
