Is there a cord (or just a way) that allows video on an ipod to show on a tv?

i was wondering this because i would like to get my american gangster season 1 to play on my tv. i have no idea how to do it though. can you help me?
no i wanted the video i already had on the ipod to show on my tv. i don't need to rip a dvd to the ipod.

You should make sure the video is MP4 or H2.64 video for iPod. I like Cucusoft DVD to iPod Video Suite to rip DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPod. It is the fastest converter I have used. Also, the output quality is great.You can download this software free from here
