There's a way to change the sensitivity of your sensor bar. It's probable that it's not currently set to be sensitive enough. It asks all kinds of questions including how far is your tv from it. It could be you're too close and not far enough away. Go into your wii settings and it's in there. If i sit up close, it won't show up until I move back to the couch which is about 10 or see feet from the tv. Good luck.

Maybe something is blocking the sensor bar? if you have to just hook you nunchuk to your remote and use that

Go to the wii settings menu and look for the sensitivity adjustment. Adjust it until you see two blinking dots when you point it at the screen. If that doesn't solve it, check that the sensor bar is plugged in and make sure that if it is on top of your tv the settings are set to "on top of tv".
