Today, Mike Tyson was guest on the Oprah show. They were plugging the new movie "Tyson". He told it up front to Oprah, answering all her questions. Blew 400 million. Bit Holyfied out of frustration for continually being butted without referee interference. Was lead astray, as a young guy, by money and King. WHAT'S YOUR thoughts ?

The show was just a rehash of what the documentary already covered. The only difference was Mikes daughter has since died and she got him to talk about that. Seems like Mike has turned into a wimp. He was nearly crying before she even asked the first question, then he was choked up for the rest of the show. Probably really nervous. Oprah can be intimidating. But I prefer MIkes interviews with Jimmy Kimmel. MIke seemed really at ease with JK (cracking jokes, etc) which makes him more appealing. The Oprah show kinda made him look a little wacky.....especially at one point when he was crying/choking up, then burst into laughter, then crying again, all within a span of 2 seconds. Its not one of Mikes best interviews. And..... the young wifey. Oprah looked at her like she was nuts when the chick said she didnt want to see the documentary and that she "loved MIke since she was 15 years old." Mike sure can pick em.

If only everyone knew a fraction of what all he's been through.

There wasn't a lot new there for me. I feel sorry for him on the death of his daughter. Having 2 daughters, I would feel horrible if I lost one of them. That is the biggest tragedy of all.
Being that I never had that kind of wealth, I can't imagine spending it..much less falling into debt. But that happens to many people who are out of poverty into great wealth. I think it's because they spend believing "400 million" is an endless amount.
On Holyfield, everyone knows he was a head butter. I do think that was a part of it but I also think Tyson was frustrated because he had no answer for Holyfield.
His life and upbringing was rough and he was a product of it, but he did not have to go the route he went. I do believe Don King, the death of Cus and Jacobs, Robin Givens and the questionable rape conviction in Indiana were his real downfall. As powerful as he was, he wasn't wise enough to avoid these pitfalls
