In "Stronghold Assult" in Bully: Scholarship Edition, is the transformer the thing the guy shoots you with?

I mean, the guy above the gates near the end..
The thing you shoot him off of, is that the transformer?
If not, what is, and how can I destroy it?

If so, how to I destroy it?

The transformer is at the top of the pole for the power lines.
