wasnt twilight too overrated at the MTV movie awards?

The acting was mediocre and reminded me of a high school play when people forget their lines. So why did the cast get so many awards. There were other actors who actually had a good performance.
Mtv's programs are influenced by tweens. Twilight is not worthy of any award but at least the kids are reading! Yes I take comfort in the fact that there are the Academy awards to nominate Actual movies.

its just that all lot of people (who obviously didn't read the book) love the story of the movie and voted. i like twilight and all but not obsessive.

It's a sad truth that most of the people voting for this sort of award ARE Twilight fans. Certainly, it's undeniable that had this been the Golden Globes or the Oscars, Twilight wouldn't even have stood a chance of being nominated, but we're talking about an awards show that has a category called "Best WTF Moment". It's not exactly the highest caliber.

All the winners were based on ONLINE VOTING. That means all the twilighters spent all their free time in front of a computer screen, voting over and over again.

I don't really care that they won almost every MTV award. It's not the Oscars, nor the Golden Globes. I'd rather get a foreign award than a mtv award.

I think Twilight won too many. And most of them obviously were Twilight fans and they weren't quite fair.

They should've given chance to others.

Poor Slumdog Millionaire. Didn't win any.

I think Twilight doesn't deserve that much. There were also negative points in the movie (like the acting, sorry Twilight fans!).

Yes. The Twilight movie was not very well done. Kristen Stewart is a terrible actress. I'm sorry, but she is. Catherine Hardwicke could have done a much better job. I think they're trying to make as much money as possible off the movie at the moment but the trouble is it's working. Glad it's getting more people to read, but I've read all the books and I kept putting Breaking Dawn down because it sucked. Twilight is overrated.

Yep. But I wasn't surprised. MTV owns Summit...which produces the Twilight films. So of course it's going to win everything.

Even if people hadn't voted for it...it probably still would've won because MTV isn't going to miss an opportunity to promote that bullcrap if it means getting it more attention than it really deserves.


You can tell even the actors weren't excited about it.
