View Full Version : Is Zac Efron seriously being considered for the role of Kira in the "Death Note" movie?

Yesh, I realize he does look a bit like Kira...but, come on. Seriously?

I have seen reports online that they're considering him for the movie, but are they true or just rumors?

Argh. Why do they even have to make an Americanized version of "Death Note", anyway? :(

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ZAC EFRON! NO AMERICAN VERSION OF DEATH NOTE! HE WILL KILL DEATH NOTE!

I love the death note manga it's one my favourites after naruto. the movies are alright but if an american version is made with kira as zac efron i will sign a petiton or demonstrate or kill him because i cannot stress how much i hate him!

KEEP DEATH NOTE AS IT IS!

i think that right now this is a rumor (i also heard rumors of zac efron playing sousuke sagara from "full metal panic").

typically anime is not readily tranlatable to live action, much less american live action audiences. i think that the raging crapstorms that were "fist of the north star" or "dragonball evolution" were textbook examples of that.
