Okay so this Old mans' desination was to get with his, I would suppose wife. I was guessing she's in heaven and hes trying to reach beyond, but in the ending it doesnt give really any deatil of her. Wouldn't it be better when the Cermony of Russel recieving his patch, she walks into the door and the Old Man rushes towards her and is like "how did you find me? you were practially untrackable sense you went to visit you Dieing mom in Paris" Or somethign along those lines, then they go on stage and he puts the badge on Russel>>> I just think that they shouldve put more effort in the Wife

he went there because of what he did to that guy on the street and he knows they were gonna take his house. so he goes UP and gets to paraside island.

no offense, but what the (bleep) are you talking about? did you see the movie?!? the reason that carl went on the journey is he promised his dead wife that he would take her clubhouse (the home where they lived all their lives together) to paradise falls. they didn't put more effort on the wife because she died in the beginning. that was the whole point of the film...a loving husband's promise to his departed wife that he would do anything to keep.
