UGH!!!! I loved the books, but the actors are just a LITTLE too old/!?!?!?!?!?!?! gosh look at this!
Percy Jackson=Logan Lerman,17
Grover Underwood=Brandon T. Jackson,25, black(i am not racist,hes supposed to be white)
Annabeth Chase=Alexandra Daddario,23
Luke Castellan=Jake Abel,21
Sally Jackson(Percys Mom)=Catherine Keener,50
Silena Beauregard=Chelan Simmons,26
I MEAN FOR G0DS SAKE! THEY R SUPPOSED TO B 12 YR OLD KIDS!!!!!! oh the numbers by them is their age!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!! FOR G0DS SAKE! I AM NOT GONNA GO SEE IT!!! G0d AND sally jackson is supposed to be like between 30 and 40! i am NOT racist! its just that grover is supposed to be white! oh and The girl playing Annabeth has BLACK HAIR!!! how will they make that work out?!?!!?!?!?!! G0D! ugh i hate that! the books were so great! why would they do that? i mean my dog could have made a better cast! i mean a WORM could have made a better cast! ugh its so stupid!

i think they're a bit too old. i think the actors for Percy and Annabeth should be 13 or 14 years old, like the actors in the first Harry Potter movie. in the book, most (or all, idk) of the campers are 12-19 years old. the camper actors should look about the same age, with Luke and Silena looking a little older than the other campers. (maybe not Grover, he is in his teenaged years).

and i agree with the Grover thing.. in the first book in the series, it has a part that says "... throwing wads of sandwich that stuck in his curly brown hair..." . so either Grover is a white guy with brown hair or a black guy with brown hair, and the latter one does not sound very reasonable.

and for the Annabeth thing, they just use a blonde wig. but still, she's probably way too old to play as a 12 year old. by the time the movie comes out, she will be twice as old as the age she should be. and that's NOT a good sign.

also, i heard the director or whoever thinks Annabeth is supposed to be 18 years old in the first book, but hopefully this is a rumor. or this movie will be even more of a failure.

there are just so many casting problems it makes me pretty sad.. if i see a trailer for this and it works out for me and the characters look right, then woohoo! if not, i'll lose all hope and not see any of the movies. i could live with the books because, at least there, the information is all correct.

and i've been thinking, with this many negative comments about the cast, they might just decide to rechoose most of the actors and actresses.

to me, the only reasonable actor ages are Percy Jackson's, Sally Jacksons, and Chiron.

logan lerman does NOT look like percy, i imagine someone hotter (x hahaha, LOL. for annabeth, she's blonde ! idk, a wig, ehhh, TO OLD !

there's supposed to be 12 in the beginning of the series, but then they're like 16 at the last book. & almost all of the actors/actresses are OLDER than 16.

i hope they recast it, but it's probably too late. i dont hear any buzz about the movie though...

but i think luke's actor is okayy...luke is supposed to be hot though (x

+ the series is very science fiction, which means a lot of computer graphics, which = MONEY. & i hope they do. cause i dont want shitty looking people. but we'll see....
