Help! How to get audio from my computer to my television?

I bought the cord so that I can view movies playing on my computer, on my television. The video comes in perfectly, but I cannot hear the audio. I have to play it from my computer and that is no fun on laptop speakers.
I have a 7 Prong S Cable going from my Dell to my RCA TV. The audio input thing is hooked up to the TV.

You can probably pick one up at radioshack or frys if you live near either of those. Just ask for a cable that converts from 1/8 in stereo to RCA or composite.

If you're the DIY kind of person, this cable which sells for about $15 to $20 can be made at home with just an composite cable and a pair of cheap earphones. You need a cord with a microphone plug at one end (that goes into the headphone jack likely located at the front end of your computer. The other end should have RCA type plugs, one white and one red. Connect the white to a left channel input of the TV and the red one to right channel input. That should work since you seem to have the TV on the right setting to receive the computer's video.

It would have helped if you had included the make and model of the TV and the laptop. I would be more certain of my answer then because I could have looked up the connections for each online.
