I'm doing a little research on the television- how it changed/effected polotics. I can't quite remember who the first president was who used the television to advertise (commercials). I'm thinking Nixon? Yes, no?
Help please!

Kennedy allegedly won his race against Nixon because he looked better on television. And, since then, no president has worn a blue tux to a debate (It washes out the complexion?). Anyway, Kennedy-Nixon was the first televised Presidential debates.
Peace

Eisenhower and Stevenson both had ads for their campaigns in 1952. You can see some of them in the reference I have cited.
