Legwarmers are probably the most commonly known one. Lycra and leather clothing was popular. Converse shoes were popular in the first half of the 1980s. You can look at Madonna for 1980s fashion.

Womens suits with shoulder pads.......for adults,
Look at "punk" fashions for the younger bunch in the cities.....
Look at Mullet hair do's for the boys in the country
The very early 80's had some left over big lapels on mens shirts from the disco era....also polyester liesure suits....Yuuck !!
