View Full Version : What sort of fashion will we be wearing in the future?

I'm writing a novel set in 2030 and I was just thinking 'I wonder what sort of clothes we'll be wearing then?' - has anyone got any ideas?

fashion goes round and round, at the moment 80's style clothing is huge! and so were poka dots, bright red lipstick and white blonde hair (the 50's) i think people will start going really punky again and big hair

I don't think the fashion in 2030 will be that disimilar to that of today's, perhaps Phil Specter hairdos and pants with holes in them?

I gather we just might be wearing clothing made from recycled material. Not to mention there will be microchips inside our clothing to keep us warm, dry, cool, and wet.

Fashion is cyclical. It repeates itself roughly every 20 years. so in 2030 most of the inspiration will be from now. Think crimsons, cerulean blue, LOTS of black and grey. Exagerated proportions (Shoulders, waists, hips). Very heavy tough extreem high heeled shoes. An overall tough solidary feel. Nothing too soft and flowing (although florals were big a few seasons back).
