Online? You are joking right?
You only get perverts pretending to be clients or agencies online, it's disgusting. I know one girl who was raped by a man pretending to be an agent who she meet through an online site, and a male model told me about a man he knew who posed as an "agent" so he could meet models because he was old and ugly but only wanted a young, hot wife and he thought a model might be stupid enough to fall for him.
I model, and let me tell you -work comes through a REAL agency. If you are with some small, local agency, you will get nothing other than scammed, so you have to go with someone like Elite, Ford, Marilyns or Viviens. Just google "top agencies"and you'll find a list of the most respected.
You need to attend open days at these agencies and see if one takes you. If none of them do, you need to accept the fact that most will never model no matter how much they want to. I see too many people get rejected, go spend mountains on surgery or dieting or working out, only to be told they are still unsuitable - put it this way, if the agency could see potential in you, they would tell you and say "but you have to get this done", if they don't tell you this it means you have no potential and well then nothing you do will ever make them take you.
Good luck, and remember, online is for perverts only, don't do it if you are serious about modelling and don't want to get screwed around.
AND JOHN ROBERT POWERS IS A KNOWN SCAM. Carly Kendall's post should be removed.
