If you didn't solicit them, it's a scam to get your money. Reputable agencies are fighting off applicants with boat hooks and baseball bats--only shady operators come to you first. If a bank you have no relationship with called up offering a fantastic rate, wold you be suspicious? Same deal.

It doesn't sound "fishy" at all. They are definitely trying to sell you something.
AGENCIES do not call people at random to find talent. People call them and beg to be taken. If you didn't call them first, they are not an agency. They're a school, and they want to sell you an expensive package of lessons.

How would they even know your age or your phone number if you did not send in pictures to them containing your birthdate and phone number? Anyone calling you out of the blue is a scam.
Real agencies do not call people based on their age. They call people based on their looks, AFTER they have seen your picture and decided that you have a look that they can book on jobs
