I think they should come up with better ideas.
I mean 'The HIlls' , really? I think that's such a lame show. So pointless.

they also have bad shows, like they have mabey 4 shows and play them over and over and over...

I don't know who Barley is but it's nice that at least someone's playing music....

There's a lot of great trashy tv on MTV and unfortunately that's what the kids are watching at this point! There are definitely other options! Check out last.fm or alternative music channels online if you're interested in expanding your music vocabulary.

yeah mtv sucks i remember back when i was in middle school and elementary school when the shows were actually good and there used to be music. i mean doesn't mtv stand for music television? well where is the music? i mean the only music show they had left was trl but that no longer exist. it's stupid preppy stuck up tools & bimbos on there now i hate the hills laguna beach etc...

i say bring back good old school mtv xD

MTV has sucked now for over a decade. You may not believe this but when VH1first started out they would only play soft rock. You would never see anything demeaning on there. Hair bands wouldn't even get played on there. Bret Michaels is the hair band man on there. Ugh it is such crap now. MTV and VH1 need to change their names. Music Television and video hits 1 my arse. it should be $hit TV1 and $hit TV2

well it's aimed at pre-teens now. which is weird but i guess they like the drama and have a hard time sitting through videos lol. I think it went down hill a long long time ago
