Do You Think Mtv's Parental Control Is Staged?

I do, the acting is terrible, if any of the parents had the least bit of sense, they'd beat the crap outta the boyfriend/girlfriend when they mouth off, you can tell that they are looking off cue cards. I would like to hear your opinions.

I think it is for the most part. I agree with you on the point that the parents would have more self respect and made sure the boyfriend/girlfriend was towards them, too. It's for entertainment reasons. People want to see rude teenagers tell off their bf/gf's parents. Why you ask? I really don't know. I don't find it funny at all.

I have never seen this show but one of my friends went on it during the summer, he was asked to be on it. It was scripted, even fake parents and such.

They get paid to be on it and then if the person chooses to date the one their parents picked they get payed more...

the lines EVERYONE uses are always so corny and no bf/gf (of my friends that are; as far as i know) would EVER be willing to do that kind of thing. also no one would actually be willing to say some of the things some of the boys/girls say when they are being interviewed by the parents in the beginning
