View Full Version : Why did MTV's Real World de-volve from a show that explored social issues into another drama based show?

The Real World used to explore racial, gender, HIV/AIDs, etc issues involving more mature mid-to-late twenty somethings as they discovered themselves and their careers. Now it's become a sex and fight-fest for 18-24 year olds or basically like a I Love New York/A shot at love type of show. How sad.

it got a bigger audience by doing that...all America is now,,,is a country that cares about image,drams,sex..sad but true...Considering the age that it's audience is, you would think the GOV would have stricter controls...when I was younger, my dad wouldn't even let us watch Micheal Jackson's Thriller...think what he would say these days...
