Considering the trash they've both been putting out I'd say they're competitor's, I mean I Love Money is just a knock off of the Gauntlet right? & so on...... I remember when MTV was just awesome videos with the best live rock concerts but now it's just crap my 14 year old doesn't even watch with a bunch of fake wanna bees hoping to hit it big .........

They are both owned by Viacom so I don't know why they'd be competitors.
