Oprah decided to spend $40 million opening a school for girls in Africa because she said city kids in the U S would not appreciate it.

Probably because he has a budget deficit and the internet has taken over much of the functions of libraries nowadays. Schools have computers so students can use them there.

I don't know why he is closing the libraries. But the whole Oprah thing really Pisses me off. She even went so far as to provide them uniforms! Why on earth did she not do the for girls in America? I refuse to watch her show or buy anything she endorses.
